I believe in the power of original ideas. I think every piece of communication should educate, entertain or inspire. I get excited when we can do that in new and unexpected ways.
I’ve been a writer, director, and creative director, on the agency and corporate sides of the business, creating all kinds of content, for local and global brands.
I'm currently creative director in Cisco's in-house agency, The Hatch, where I lead brand creative projects, write, produce broadcast, online and social content, and interface with internal product teams and agency partners.
I’ve directed commercials and content through the production company Bob Industries, in Los Angeles, since 2002. I’ve directed productions in the US and overseas, for brands like, Chase, MasterCard, Verizon, Sprint, Acura, Honda, Southwest Airlines, M&M’s, Oreo, and the California Lottery, and others.
I was creative director and partner in the San Francisco office of Leagas-Delaney, managing brand work for adidas, TaylorMade, Solomon, and startups CNET, Blue Nile and Red Envelope. During my tenure, we grew from 15 to 75 staff, and the office was named one of the top ten creative agencies in the world, by Creativity magazine.
I was a writer and creative director at Goodby, Silverstein and Partners, where I led teams on brands like got milk?, AT&T, Sega, Budweiser, Goodyear, and Major League Baseball, and others. The got milk? work was named campaign of the decade by Advertising Age, and my commercial “Heaven,” was named spot of the year.
My father was a career Air Force officer. I went to nine elementary and middle schools in Puerto Rico and around the US, and High School in Tokyo, Japan. I'm a graduate of the Art Center College of Design where I studied advertising, graphic design, typography, film and photography.
I live just north of San Francisco with my wife, our two sons, and a lab named Obi-Wan.
